Mailing List is Active

We have set up a mailing list to keep everyone up to date.

Note, in order to keep spammers from harvesting the email address described below, instead of "user@example.com", I will say "user at example dot com".

We have set up a mailing list named "alumni at phikappacrows dot com". You can control certain aspects of the list via commands sent via email. The commands are send to an email address starting with the name of the list ("alumni"), followed by a dash and the command. To find out more including other command you can issue, send e-mail to "alumni-help at phikappacrows dot com". The most often used are to subscribe or unsubscribe from the list. Just send email to "alumni-subscribe at phikappacrows dot com" or "alumni-unsubscribe at phikappacrows dot com" to unsubscibe. Each message you get will have instructions on how to unsubscribe.

For more information, click on the e-mail tab above, or here.

Well hello to all This is from "rocket" '76, I think finally squared away here at home to access this list. I've listened to, or more aptly read, all about "nicknames" as they relate to the developement of young men. This is not the issue, as I perceive it to be. The issue is how do we imbue into these very young men the honor, loyalty, good concious, and lastly stalwart manor that we have all come to know as men of the "AXP"? History is our teacher, that which came before is the foundation of that which comes after, and so on and so on. What one thought they knew as a young man is NOT what one BECAME as an older man. I would submit that these experiences as a "youth" are what shape us as "adults". Be they in their sordid aspect or be they in their comraderie and, dare I say it, in their honorable aspects. To live is to learn. Not a man amongst us has, even in their meekest moments, not done, nor said, nor been, less than the man we aspired to. BUT, we have all gone on, much better for the the joy and the knowledge and, the friendships we have known in our time at 311 AXP. This no one can take away. Each of us in our time, to our possible demise, have been and done things so very untoward, but yet we have excelled and provided and accomplished so much. Let us not now shine a dim light on the past and what could have been, for many, a dark time, but let us NOW, celebrate the coming again of a reawakenig of our history, as men should do. To that end I would ask all that have artifacts that could reignite and once again embelish this house with it's past so do. I have my pledge class paddle, with ALL house members names therein inscribed. I will, this very day, be sending it on to the "HOUSE" to be prominently displayed so that history and legacy can once again be there at that very house where I found so much joy and brotherhood. To all my "Brothers" past and present (and without greek font I'm a bit lost) amici................ you know the rest
